Appliance Repair FAQs
Answers to the questions we hear most often about our premium appliance repair service.
Requesting Service
We're Happy to Talk It Through
This list covers what we're asked most often, but every appliance situation is a little different. If your question isn't answered above, the fastest way to get a specific answer is to call and describe what's happening with your appliance directly.
About Our Relationship to These Brands
It's worth repeating clearly here, since it's one of our more common questions: we are not owned, operated, or authorized by Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele or Viking. We use these brand names only to describe the appliances we're experienced in servicing.
When in Doubt, Just Ask
Appliance troubleshooting over text or a search engine only goes so far, since so many symptoms can point to more than one underlying cause. If you've read through this page and still aren't sure what's going on with your appliance, a short phone conversation is usually the fastest way to get real clarity.
Why We Don't List Prices Here
You may notice this page doesn't include specific repair pricing. That's intentional: the cost of a repair depends on the specific appliance, the diagnosis, and any parts required, and listing generic price ranges risks setting inaccurate expectations. We'll always discuss cost directly with you once we understand what your appliance actually needs.
Why We Avoid Overpromising
You won't find claims here about guaranteed turnaround times, guaranteed first-visit fixes, or blanket warranties, because those kinds of promises don't hold up consistently across every appliance situation. We'd rather set realistic expectations up front and then do the work to meet them, than promise something broad and general that doesn't reflect how appliance repair actually works in practice.
On Reviews and Testimonials
You won't find customer reviews, star ratings or testimonials on this website. We'd rather earn your trust through a clear, honest service experience than through quotes we've selected to display, and we'd encourage you to ask us directly about our approach if that helps inform your decision.
A Few More Practical Questions
We're occasionally asked whether someone needs to be home for the entire appointment window, and generally yes, since access to the appliance and the ability to ask or answer questions during diagnosis matters. If you need to coordinate around a tight schedule, mention that when booking so we can plan accordingly.
We're also asked whether we work on holidays. Rather than list specific dates here, which can change year to year, the most reliable way to confirm availability around a holiday is to call directly.
Why a Second Visit Is Sometimes Needed
Premium appliance parts aren't always sitting on a shelf ready to install, particularly for older models or less common components. When a part needs to be ordered, we'll explain the likely timeline as soon as we know it, and we'll always prioritize getting your appliance back to full working order as efficiently as parts availability allows. A second visit isn't a sign anything went wrong the first time, it's simply how many premium appliance repairs work in practice.
The Kind of Kitchens We Work In
Many of the questions above come back to the same setting: premium, built-in kitchens with refrigeration, cooking and cleaning appliances integrated into custom cabinetry.
Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you serve?
We serve Beverly Hills and the surrounding Los Angeles area, along with Orange County communities including Newport Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach. See our service areas page for the complete list.
Which brands do you specialize in?
Sub-Zero, Wolf and Thermador are our primary focus, and we also service Miele and Viking appliances.
Which appliance types do you repair?
Refrigerators, built-in refrigeration columns, freezers, ice makers, wine coolers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers and microwaves.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Call (310) 209-8143 or use our online appointment form.
What are your business hours?
We're available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
What information should I have ready when I call?
It helps to know the appliance brand, model type if visible, and a description of what the appliance is doing or not doing. If the appliance has a model or serial number plate, having that on hand can also help.
Are you affiliated with Sub-Zero, Wolf or Thermador?
No. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or sponsored by Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele or Viking. We use these names only to describe the appliances we service.
Do you work on appliances that are still under manufacturer warranty?
For appliances under an active manufacturer warranty, contact the manufacturer or their authorized service network first, since independent repair work can affect warranty coverage. We're happy to help once a warranty has expired or if you choose independent service.
Do you service both built-in and freestanding appliances?
Yes. While built-in, paneled appliances are a particular focus, we also service freestanding refrigerators, ranges and other appliances from our covered brands.
What should I do if my refrigerator stops cooling?
Check that the appliance has power and that vents inside aren't blocked by food. If it's still not cooling, avoid opening the doors more than necessary to preserve remaining cold air, and call us to schedule a diagnostic visit.
Can you tell me what's wrong with my appliance over the phone?
We can often narrow down likely causes based on your description, but a confirmed diagnosis typically requires an in-person visit, since many symptoms can point to more than one underlying issue.
Do you offer emergency or same-day service?
Call us to discuss your specific situation and current scheduling availability.
